Community Centre Build

A Safe place to Grow and Thrive.

Community Centre Build

Imagine a group of nearly 300 women united over the last four years to form 19 cooperative groups. Picture the households they come from—many lacking electricity, water, and sanitation, with some barely furnished or experiencing water and mud infiltration during rain. Food is scarce, and children often go sick and hungry. Clean water is a luxury, making daily life a struggle. It’s hard to truly grasp this reality.
By building a safe community center in Kibagare, we will create a space where projects can flourish, where women can work together, support one another, and safely store their goods. This center will provide the community with identity and a sense of belonging.
St. Martin's School has generously offered land within its grounds for the community center. With this initiative, 300 women can become 600, transforming 300 vulnerable households into sustainable ones. This means families can generate income, provide basic necessities, and send their children to school, ultimately making Kibagare a safer place where people can thrive!

In 2024, we aim to break ground on the Kibagare Good News Community Centre. We are actively fundraising for this modular project, designed to be highly sustainable with access to solar power and clean water. It will provide a crucial safe space for community members to collaborate in cooperatives and grow their businesses.
